First XI

Sefton Park 49 without loss (11 overs)

Sefton Park 126 all out (49.4 overs)

Wallasey 127 for 3 (24.5 overs)

Wallasey won by 7 wickets


Third XI

Northern 98 for 5 (30 overs)

L Foster 3 for 30, D Cuthbert 2 for 18

Match abandoned for rain - No decision

Fourth XI

Sefton Park 92 all out (38.3 overs)

H Maqbool 29

Northop Hall 84 all out (35.2 overs)

Sefton Park won by 8 runs


The First XI welcomed Maghull to Sefton Park and found that they were unable to start because of rain. At 2.30 pm, a start was made after Maghull won the toss and decided to field. Sefton openers scored quickly but after 11 overs, the rain became heavier and they left the field unable to return Jeremy Rogers scored 25 not out and Haroon Khan 24 not out.

The Second XI travelled to Wallasey where they won the toss and decided to bat. They struggled to make 126 in 49.4 overs. The Wallasey reply was delayed by the rain but they were able to pass the Sefton total with just 3 wickets down in 24.5 overs.


The Third XI played Northern Thirds on the Lower Ground. Sefton won the toss and decided to field. The rain was light at first but then became too heavy to carry on. Northern finished on 98 for 5 in 30 overs. Loz Foster finished with 3 for 30 and Daniels Cuthbert 2 for 18.

The Fourth XI travelled to Wales to play Northop Hall's Thirds.

Sefton won the toss and decided to bat first. Hamza Maqbool top scored for Sefton with 29 as they were dismissed for 92 in 38.3 overs.

The small total did not put off Sefton who dismissed the home side for 84 and an excellent win, Paul Barlow finishe with 5 for 15 and Zaid Hashin 2 for 22
