The First XI welcomed St Helens Town to Sefton Park.The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. The Sefton Park opening attack of Jimmy Dixon and Huzaifa Zubair soon struck and the visitors found themselves on 44 for 5 and then 76 for 6. However, they recovered to put on 41 for the seventh wicket, 36 for the ninth and 28 for the tenth wicket and finish on 185 all out in 52.5 overs. Huzaifa Zubair finished with 4 for 39, Leo Spilsbury 2 for 23 and Ayan Madhu 2 for 18.

Sefton's innings did not begin with both openers back in the pavilion with the score on 24. Andrew Hale added 20 runs to take the score to 44 for 3. Skipper Paul Horton then held the innings together helped by 26 from Huzaifa Zubair and when he was out for 73, Rob Supria took over to steer the side home with a score of 25 not out. So a two wicket victory completed in 45.3 overs and 25 points means that Sefton finish the first half of the season in seventh place in the league

The Second XI travelled to Wigan where the home side won the toss and decided to bat first. The decision proved fruitful as they put on 143 for the first wicket and then went on to declare on 209 for 4 in 45 overs. Tom Spilsbury took 2 for 75.

In reply, Scott Aitchison scored 25, Pete Ostler 39 and Alex Woods 21 but with five ducks in their total, they were dismissed for 143 in the 35th over


The Third XI played Formby's Thirds. Sefton batted first, scoring 155 with Mike Heaney scoring 50, Harry Wright 39 and Charles Daniels 20.

Ronan Brady took four wickets and Liam Tollady 2 to dismiss Formby for 110


A strong Fourth XI played a New Brighton third XI on the Lower Ground.

New Brighton batted first and declared on 172 for 6 in 45 overs, Ibrahim Ahmed took 2 for 20.

In reply, Sefton went on to win with 2 balls and one wicket left, finishing on 173 for 9. Rob Kennedy scored 39, Dave Kelly 29 and Jo Ledbury 27
