The First XI made another trip to Wigan, this time to play Spring View.

The home side won the toss and decided to bat first. They made fairly solid progress reaching 117 for 4 but the introduction of Sefton's spinners into the attack slowed this down. and they went from 135 for 6 to 138 all out in 41.1 overs. Tom Spilsbury took 5 for 17 in 8 overs and Noah Olejniczak 2 for 10. Earlier Naimat Karyab rook 2 for 14.

Sefton's batting without Paul Horton began well and they reached 59 when both openers fell , Haroon Khan with 44 and Chris Bellis 15. They were then in trouble at 82 for 6 but 31 in 19 ball from Dave Kelly revived their hopes. they reached 115 for 8 followed by a stand of 17 between Abhishek Jagan (10) and Tom Spilsbury. Left needing 7 to win from the last wicket, they scored just 4 and were dismissed for 136 in 39 overs. Tom Spilsbury finished with 10 not out.

The Second XI welcomed New Brighton to Sefton Park. The visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. A remarkable innings from their opener Josh Courtney held the innings and despite being dropped four times, he had scored 83 out of 112 for 5 when he was dismissed. New Brighton went on to finish on 161 all out in 41.4 overs.

Chris Mitchell had opened the bowling for Sefton and bowled throughout the innings, finishing on 7 for 64 in 20.4 overs. James Woods took 2 for 60.

Sefton's reply did not go well and at 62 for 6 they looked to be heading for a possible defeat. However, Matt Young batting at number 5 was the backbone of the Sefton innings, putting on 75 for the eighth wicket in a stand with skipper Andy Aitchison. When Matt was out for 87 with the score on 149 for 8, it was left to Andy Aitchison (21 not out) and James Woods (10 not out) in 41.3 overs. to steer them home.

The Seconds are now in third place in the table in a very close league
