Table toppers Spring View were the visitors to Sefton Park for the First XI game.

Spring View won the toss and decided to bat first.

Sefton took the first wicket with just one on the board and with a best stand of 28 for the sixth wicket, the visitors were dismissed for 107 in 34.3 overs. Huzaifa Zubair finished with 4 for 26 and Daksh Singhvi 5 for 29.

Sefton's reply began well with Ben Percival scoring 25 of the 26 runs put on for the first wicket. Chris Bellis (4) and Joash Vinu (8) both fell with the score on 39.

Paul Horton and James Stirling came together and looked like they could steer their side to victory but in a mix up found each other at the same end for a run out for Paul (8). James then went to a controversial caught and bowled which was followed by a total collapse as Sefton were dismissed for 83 in the 25th overs.

The First XI remain seventh in the table

The Second XI travelled to Formby where the home side won the toss and decided to bat

The scored 215 for 9 declared in 45 overs.

Despite 50 from skipper Dave Kellym Sefton were only able to score 131 in reply.

The Seconds remain third in the table.


Highlight of the day came in the only win of the day as the thirds welcomed South Liverpool to Sefton Park.

South Liverpool won the toss and decided to field. Sefton took advantage of this as the skipper for the day Alex Woods scored his maiden century finishing with 122 off 86 balls. He was assisted by Jack Sawbridge with 31 and a late charge by Chris Mitchell with 39 not out off 27 balls as Sefton declared on 270 for 9 off 44 overs.

In reply, South Liverpool put on 83 for the first wicket but were unable to keep up that pace and were dismissed for 192 in 40 overs. Chris Salmon took 3 for 60, Shadab Khan 2 for 33 and Ian Dawes 3 for 19.

The Thirds are fourth in the table, only 21 points behind the top team.

The Fourth XI finally got a game when they travelled to play Bootle's Thirds.

On what was not a very good wicket, they were dismissed for 118.

Bootle passed the score with just 4 wickets down in 18 overs.

There were two wickets for Andy Fallows.
